Getting started
Install VodMates from the Chrome Web Store and pin it to your toolbar. Reload the video page after installation, then play the video. On Vimeo, use the download button beside the player and choose an available quality. Keep the download tab open until the file is ready.

The Chrome extension has dedicated workflows for Vimeo and Telegram Web, plus compatible embedded players. The online link tool reads Vimeo and TikTok links. TikTok is not a dedicated workflow in this Chrome extension. Detection depends on how a page supplies its media; a supported platform does not mean every video is available.

Check the current stage. Preparing reads the source and loads the video tools; downloading transfers media; merging joins video and audio into an MP4. Keep that tab open. A lower quality means a smaller file. If the source stops responding, cancel and retry. An expired source link needs to be read again from the video page. Pro does not remove limits imposed by a source or your network.

After installing or updating the extension, refresh the page and start playback. Make sure you are on the video page, not a search result. If a quality is missing, the source may not expose it. On Vimeo, try the direct video page or the online link tool. If the player still cannot be read, send us the public page URL and browser version.

Vimeo may deliver video and audio separately. Wait for the merging stage and use the final MP4, not a video segment. If the completed file has no audio, read the page again and retry. Check playback with another local player. If the problem continues, include the selected quality and the error shown in a support request.

Open Telegram Web in Chrome, then open and play the video to load its media. Use the VodMates download control. For a batch, select the videos and keep Telegram Web open while the queue runs. Use Cancel downloads to stop the queue. For very large files, use Telegram’s own file download if browser assembly reports a size limit.

Return to the same browser profile and extension installation used for checkout. Open the extension again to refresh your access. If it still has not updated, use the extension’s support diagnostics and include your checkout email and order reference when contacting us. Keep the extension installed while support checks the issue.
